I saw Corndurans for the first time last summer at a show in Montreal. They are beautiful to say the least and I had the pleasure of my first being a ghost morph. I hope this particular hybrid get a little more focus myself.
Just what do you imagine this crossing will bring? What are your ideas with where this will lead? Do we have any idea of what is compatible with what, ie genetics?
Personally my favorite hybrid crossing is a gopher/corn, so I do have an interest. My curiosity does get the better of me sometimes and I often wonder why some folks dabble/breed the hybrid route.
This particular matchup you've done could prove interesting. I'd appreciate discussing this.
I am DYING to see pics of the hatchlings. I think maybe a progression thread might be in order on this crossing. BTW, that Cornduran is stunning! That is a hybrid I would add to the collection any time.
So far they bred 3 times. I cant wait to see the offspring!!!
WOW!!
I'm picking up a pair of Tangerine Hondurans next week, both het Albino- I'm dying to start something with them and my corns... after I get the Albino Hondurans of course...lol
I haven't been able to find anyone I know that has done anything with Corndurans.
Any suggestions? My females consist of a Normal, Normal zigzag, Albino black rat, snow X sunglow(snowglow?), Miami, Okeetee, Baird X Okeetee, Reverse Okeetee and our unknown blood/normal/stripe/motley/aztec whatchamacallit. She has a little of everything,is a deep cinnamon/red color, but no black , no yellow or orange...the pics of her don't hold true to her actual coloring, I've posted some before and everyone said she was normal w/ a funky pattern.
As far as the Gopher snakes mentioned earlier, I have a friend that has a gravid Cape Baja, can't wait to get mine!!!
