Okay… maybe they aren’t Cobras, but some snakes sure think they are. If you have snakes with an attitude, I hope you will add to the thread and share their photos with the rest of us.
Here's Snapdragon. She's had quite the attitude since she arrived (1 1/2 years ago). Gotta be quick when you open her lid and be ready to play "catch the snake." Well, last week was the first time I missed. Luckily, she landed in the nearby bag of Sani-Chips... where she was still giving me "the look." I got her out, she gave me a good bite, a musking, and continued rattling her tail while I took more pictures. She thought all that would scare me away, but I guess she forgot who's boss.
Here are a couple (very bad quality) shots of my meahllmorum in blue and a little less than happy. This snake is a year and half old and almost 400 grams (300-something in these pictures). He was my first "corn" and has always been my most docile snake-- if he's not eating or in blue. If I recall correctly, these pictures were taken on a feeding day. I'm not sure if I ever fed him or if I spent the whole time dodging his strikes, but he struck, hissed, and rattled at me for a good 5 minutes before I decided to forget about messing with him. He tried striking at me through the tub and rattled for another few minutes even after I put him back on the shelf. He's a strong snake and probably the only one that actually intimidates me at all, and you can really feel the force behind his strikes when they connect. Enough rambling, here are the pictures:
Coiled back the way a rattlesnake would:
Blurry-faced mid-strike shot (or as he was pulling back, I dont' remember):

My Pewter Riddick when I first got him, pulled him out of his deli cup snapped a few pictures before putting him away. Apparently he didn't like this idea...
