Honduran Hallucination

This is a 'turn up' for the books here guys.

Ya, it's been a few years since I paired up Hondos &, as such, I remained in the 'mode' of corn snake egg production.

Well,

This here gal gave her pre-lay slough 18th June............&, although I had gently palpated her I could not feel any eggs.

Therefore, placed the 'lay box' in her vivarium as a precaution as I had confirmed a number of successful matings.

hmmmm........

She, continually, removed her box to alternate positions.

..........and I, continually, replaced to where I thought appropriate.

Saturday night regular check:

Confirmed that she had, not only, moved said box but had, also, 'shored' up ALL of the woodshavings in the Viv to fit under the 'lay box'.

And she had squeezed the box between her water dish & hide.

Oh Lord,

I gave up then & left her to it.

I saw, with much delight, the tip of a pearly white egg.

Oh YES....

Removed her lay box & lifted it gently to view the underside........

Hi Mary,

This lady is a full sibling to the Tangerine Albino female.

Mated x Albino male to verify if she is, indeed, carrying the albino trait.

Such a small clutch may / may not prove anything though.

These hatchlings will be BIG.........fun to work with them again.
