Breeding Plans 2008--and beyond!

We're just getting off the ground breeding-wise, so have only one planned breeding this year, Luna (Ghost) bred first to Sha'i Hulud (Coral Snow) 3/8, then she shed on 3/26 so I rebred her--but no interest from Sha'i, so bred this time to Thoth (Snow Stripe) twice, pics below. Luna had her pre-lay shed six days ago--I'm hoping she'll be laying today, Mother's Day; how great would *that* be?? Anyway, we'll see if either males are het homo for hypo, but think both are simply selectively-bred snows. My guess is we'll bet getting 100% anerys het hypo, amel (and poss. stripe). Breeding trials will prove out hets in F2's.

I had purchased Luna and Hector, the hypo, from Stephen Howard in late 2006. I never cohab my snakes, so imagine my surprise when she produced a clutch of eggs in August 2007--! However, I was still ignorant about eggs then, and didn't know a female could hold sperm in her body for up to two years. I ended up throwing the eggs away, assuming they were infertile.

Next year, we'll have more interesting breedings planned, and some really great ones in two years.
