Thanks for all the support.

Yeah...this sucks! It was an opal pos het/homo butter that came from Rich Z. Would have been nice to get golddusts het lavender motley.....oh well.....I'll have to try again next year. At least it wasn't a death...the would double suck....no eggs and no female.

Oh no!!! Just found the thread, got all excited, then totally bummed. Sorry that happened. Guess most of us can relate. Better luck next time. Did you go for a double clutch?

Interesting, but I would call the male caramel opal or butter lavender since opal butter suggests 4 genes are involved, while there are only 3. Does that make sense?

I would agree. However, since the only thing that is known is that she is an opal, I decided to list that. The rest (caramel) is a gamble....Rich said she could be homo, het or nothing...but the goal was homozygous but he couldn't tell the difference.
