After spending almost every day for a year on the other forum, I've stumbled across this one. I'm Billy Wheeler from Memphis, TN. I'm somewhat new to captive bred born corn snakes, but I've kept wild caught snakes since childhood (I'm 58). I've bred and shown fish, birds, cats, and dogs for over 30 years. I'm a retired management consultant with extensive experience in legislative issues concerning the rights of pet owners and breeders. I've also assisted the Cat Fanciers Association in developing a long range plan.
I want to focus on two colors in my corn snakes, pink and purple. To that end I've acquired a pair of hypo (coral) snows, a pair of striped snows, a hypo lavender male and an opal female. My focus on the forum is mostly on genetics and acquainting myself with the variety of interpretations of each morph, but I admitt to being easily distracted by any debate involving the rights of pet owners.
I expect my time on this forum to be etertaining and enlightening.
Billy, if you like genetic, you will love our Morph Gallery and Progression Threads sections.
I am sure you will reach your goal here. And don't forget to send pics of your snakes when you'll have a chance. Sound like you have a great plan. But like you said, it is often difficult to stay focus on the original plan.
Hello Mr. Wheeler, I have read your posts on the other forum as well and was always impressed with the quality of your words. I have made this my "home" site myself and am sure that you will enjoy it.
As mentioned above, check out the Morph section which holds some awesome photos of almost everything out there. Everyone here is very professional and well-behaved (unlike previously mentioned other places) but do like to pop-off a joke or sarcasm here and there.........so feel free to join in on the fun. Also, please do post some pics of your current snakes and enjoy your stay.
