Happy New Year Everyone!

Hello everyone and Happy New Year! My son is a proud new owner of a month old corn snake. His Momma (me) has always been a nut for snakes and he hasn't fallen far from the tree. We know nothing about corns.....just saw him at petco and thought it was sooooo cool. Justin got him for Christmas. We have everything set up, having a little trouble getting him to eat, but we're working on that. Here's a picture of "Slick".....does anyone know what color he/she is? It's just the coolest. Little brother wants one, Momma wants one and I can bet Pa is going to want one sooner or later....we're all a little crazy for animals.....we've never had captive bred snakes before....only a few wild caught rattlesnakes and a copperhead.....that was before we had the boys.....turned them out and went to garter snakes and an absolutely cool "ringnecked" prairie snake I caught inside a Dairy Queen.....it was hysterical.....two big ol' guys trying to kill a little ol' 1 1/2' snake with a broom.....of course I intervened before the took the first wack at it.....we turned it loose before it got too cold here so it could do what they do in the fall and winter.

Looking forward to reading on this site.....lots of info to be had from "experienced" corn owners.......
