My name is Emily (or any variation on that, I love nicknames =) ). I'm thirteen years old, living in Texas. Yay for the States.
I was granted my single wish--sure, my cat died. That was the main reason, my 'rents felt bad for me and finally let me acquire a snake. =) That snake, my beloved Steve, is a baby okeetee, only a few weeks old by my understanding. He's very happy with me. =)
As I'm happy with him. He's the sweetest little thing. Scared, yes. When strangers come in and try to handle him he gets nervous and ends up returning to my hands, but he's very comfortable with lots of things and has yet to show agression (quite unlike the other normals in that batch).
I'm sure I'll be here and there, asking questions and posting comments. =P
And..to settle all curiosity, I have a picture of the cutie!
Hello and welcome Your hatchling looks like he will color up beautifully as he grows. Take a photo every month or so until he is a year old. After several months you'll be amazed at his color change =)

Welcome fellow Texan (whereabouts?) to The Source. You will find some very friendly and knowledgeable people here. Also, you have a very nice snake for a first one, looks like he already has some great coloration.
Enjoy your stay. (root beer for you)

Hi Emily! It's great to have you here. Thanks for sharing a photo of your darling Steve. Okeetee's are so beautiful. I look forward to update pictures of him. Welcome and enjoy your visits!
Heh. I figure I should just thank you all at once. I have yet to find a forum (well, besides this =D) that offers so many kind people. I find I'm really blessed to have him. As well as his physical attributes, quite dashing compared to most babies, his personality is absolute.
