Hey everyone. I'll skip the introduction of myself... I want you all to know my corn!
I got my first reptile ever on August 30th of this year. I named her Azalea-Rose, after two flowers that are varied shades of pink and red. Azalea is a regular snow corn; she hatched on July 21 of this year. As of yesterday I've started her on small fuzzy mice—she took it without hesitation, hehe. Right now she's being silly: hanging from one of the branches that is one of the highest up, in her 15 gallon enclosure.
I recently changed her substrate, from paper towels to aspen shavings, to make her feel more comfortable. She's taken to it quite well already.
Some weeks ago I had Azalea out. I was letting her roam around on my bed as I laid there reading a book. Next thing I know, I wake up an hour later. Right away I'm concerned that she may have gone off somewhere forever, or I could have rolled onto her in my sleep. Turns out, she stayed by my side the entire time.
But I will be sure to never let that happen again.
And now, here's a picture for all of you to enjoy!
I took it yesterday a few hours after she ate. I took the hide box out to check on her, and saw her like this. This was the first time she's done this, so I had to take a picture.
