Hi from a soon to be corn owner

Hey guys,
I am new to corns. Planning on getting my first snake soon. I just got all the stuff for the tank today. And i must say i am super excited to be getting a snake finally. i have been wanting one for a few years now. My bf and i are hoping to be able to find a nice Anery hatchling. I myself would be happy with almost any pretty colorful snake but my bf has got it in his head that he wants an anery. ohh i do have one question while i am posting. I got a peice of driftwood to go into the tank and i was wondering if i need to sanitize it somehow and how i would do that. thanks for any help.

Welcome!

For sanitizing the driftwood - see the instruction by EeekSnakes in this thread:

Mites?? Whaaa?

As far as your BF insisting upon an anery - well, I can't help you there, but have him look at Charcoal first - I think they are prettier - they are sometimes called AneryB (similar effect as Anery but visually different)

Hey guys,
thanks for the link to how i should go about sanitizing that driftwood. I shall do that as soon as possible. And as it so happens we are infact looking into aneryB i like the cleaner pattern and no yellow. I tend to be a researchaholic when it comes to pets and i think its safe to say i have spent ALOT of time reading up etc. Not to mention the several hours spent just surfing morph pics. And no need to worry about waiting for pics I am sure that will probably be one of the first things I do as soon as I get the little guy. and that will be my happy dance. too bad its the long weekend and everything is closed otherwise we would probably be racing over to the local reptile shop now silly holidays ruining my fun.

Welcome... it's great to have you here. Sounds like you're getting all ready for your new snake. Good luck, and we hope you'll share pics after you get it.
