Hello from Alex and Mufasa!

Hiii! I am fairly new to the whole snake business. I bought my first Corn, Severus Snake, about a month and a half ago. The other week we lost him to regurges I was devastated, and I miss him so much. He was my little boy.

BUT

To ease my mind, I got a NEW friend the other day . His name is Mufasa, and he is a yearling. He's a coral corn, and likes to play on my bed. And wrap himself around my coat buttons.

Any tips for my second time around?

Handsome boy!

And this is my little Severus, may he rest in peace

Well, there are quite a few but try this link:

Mistakes you have made, owning snakes....

Also, check out quite a few topics that are listed in the Husbandry Section:

http://www.cornsnakesource.com/forum...ry-basic-care/

Another good thing would be to get a book or two. Three of the best are listed here and you will find them by scrolling down towards the bottom of the page. They are books #2, #3 and #4 (skip #1 unless you are going to Madagascar):

Corn Snakes, Cornsnakes and more CORN SNAKES - Kathy Love's CornUtopia - Corn Snakes - Cornsnakes

Other than that......just look around the site and gain some knowledge. You have definitely come to the right place, there are plenty of friendly people here who will help you out if you have any questions. Sorry to hear about your first snake.......I bet this one will have a much better (longer) life. Take care.
