Very new at this!

Bought my very first corn snake today, a lovely little red named Jasper (not entirely sure about the name. I've got a little piece of Jasper the mineral and the colors are practically identical). I'm telling you, the pet store worker let me hold her and I was instantly hooked. Had to go beg mum to let me have her, and bought her despite my dad's strong objection. I'll be moving out in less than a year anyway.

I've also got a little pomeranian(we think)-corgi cross named Oreo who is just a sweetheart. Nearly two years old and such a silly little girl.

And me. I'm 20 year old self professed 'chick/nerd' presently living at home. Home being British Columbia, Canada. I'm quite new at this 'snake owning' thing, so I'll probably lurk around the forums and pop up with some questions now and then.

Oh, and I play World of Warcraft. Not a lot, but enough that it warrants mentioning. I like shows like Lost, Ugly Betty and Stargate...

Hope to see ya'll around.

Congratulations and welcome to The Source. There is a lot of very good information here but nothing beats a good book. I highly recommend Don Soderberg's and/or Kathy Love's books.

I'll check the local used bookstore as soon as I'm able, but we've got no actual new-bookstore here, unfortunately. And the pet store didn't carry any.

<_< The local library should have some books, but I've still not taken back a bunch of books that I've had for awhile now... which means late fees. They know me there, too.

I am sure you will find really great information here. Do not be afraid to use the search function to look up anything you do not understand. I live by it! Tons of these guys have really great care sheets.

Regards,

Laura
