Kingsnake with possible broken back

*Note this post is purely informational, and that this hatchling was a persistant non-feeder so it is quite unlikely it would of survived anyways.

He escaped about a month ago, and unfortunatly one of the cats got to him before I could. He was still alive, but had obviously gotten hurt as his lower half was virtually immoble, and you could feel the bump in his spine. He still had plenty of life in his upper half, so I decided to put him back and see if he recovers even a little bit (like a certian blizzard). Its a great example of snake's ability to thrive, he was able to move around, dragging his lower half behind him. I pulled out his container today to find him literally tethered to a fake plant in with him. He must of slithered in and out of it, but his back end wasnt able to keep up so it got tangled and he was stuck. That was more then I could take, I couldnt watch it anymore as its obvious he's not getting better. You can see the atrophy; he seemed to have some limited movement after the break, but down a little more there was none at all. He still has a lot of fight left in him, desprately trying to scare me off, but I couldnt put him through anymore and euthanized him.

He would flip himself over and not be able to right himself
