I'm so excited! This was my first ride in over 3 months. I was a little nervous so I lounged him for a long time first (which alone pooped me out). Every year I think this horse will act his age but the whole time he was pouting that we had to keep it at a walk. He sported his defiant "half walk half trot" the whole time letting me know he wanted to RUN. At the end of it, every muscle in my leg was shaking but that's what the doc wants me to do. Once I get him used to being ridden again and he mellows out a bit I'll try him bareback and really get my legs working. This horse will be full of spit and vinegar until he keels over. He's the lead in the herd, even over the mare and he's 26 years old! Back is still straight as ever. In the first pic he's giving his Standard Bred impersonation. His tail isn't really thin, he was just flicking it funny.
