I don't usually post personal stuff on forums much, but I just had to share this. My dad emailed me this morning, and said he has Prostate Cancer. My grandpa had it, and he's doing just fine like 10 years later. Plus my dad said that they caught it early, but he still has to go in again on Monday so they can do some more tests and see what his treatment options are. It especially sucks for me because I didn't meet him until about 3 years ago. Before that, I saw him once when I was 12 and that was it until I was 24. So to me its like I just met him, but I can't really share any bad feelings with my immediate family because they don't give a rat's butt about him. Kind of sad really.
Anyway, I was just hoping that some of you good folks could say a prayer for him, or send a positive thought his way. I'm not much for praying, but he is. He's a youth counselor at his Baptist church and helps troubled youth and what not. Spends a lot of his free time helping these kids. He gets 5 weeks off per year because he's been at his job 20 years, and spends all of it at youth camp.
Thanks for listening...
