I was going to do this over summer.
Well - I've finally started coding it.
I'm attempting to create an equivalent of ACR but for the genus Lampropeltis.
I think I'm going to try and open it up to all Lampros - not just any species in particular, but initially as the bugs get worked out I'll restrict to non hybrid L getula (as that's what I have the most of).
A couple features I want to add is uncertain fathers. With zonata breeders, due to quirks where males sometimes shoot blanks - it is not common for them to rotate their females through several males. I'm trying to allow for that - so that when the father of a clutch is uncertain but is known to one of several, that can be recorded.
I'm very interested though in other features people might want.
I'm going to have a field for ACR number as well, so that Lampros that are in the ACR due to hybrid can have the ACR # listed on the record as well.
One thing I want to track is feeding habits as young. IE did it requite lizard prey, scenting, live, or did it take f/t out of the egg. I think having that info in the registry (if known) may help with selective breeding and species (mountain kings, gbk, etc.) that are notorious for rejecting rodent prey.
Anyway - I'd love to hear any suggestions, as it is easier to implement stuff from the start.
I'm hoping to have a demonstration by Feb and open it up for free beta testing in spring.
