We are taking care of Gabriel (aka Boomer), our friend Mike's cat on at least temporary basis. Gabe has been with us about two months now and is still not too fond of our dogs so normally only does his "kitten play time" when the dogs are outside.
Today, when I was getting ready to log in for work (I work from home), I heard him tearing up and down the hallway and thought he was just playing. A few minutes later I hear him come flying into my office - I turn around expecting him to just be playing and come to find he was chasing this little bugger around!!
I am not sure how he got into our house, but he was young and adorable. I screamed for Joe who came in and grabbed one of my sterlites and scooped him up.
I took him outside and let him go and he beelined for a tree on the opposite side of the yard where I released him and started to "cry" for his momma. He is big enough to survive on his own - but I think momma has still been taking care of him. Hopefully she found him/will find him.
I just had to laugh - all my friend's tease me that my house is like Wild Kingdom - and after this - I guess I have to agree!
