2008 Breeding Plans

Well, I have started to pair up all my snakes in the last couple of weeks. Here is the list of pairings and what is expected from each of them. I just wish they would hurry up and breed already.


Honduran Milk Snakes
Het Albino X Het Albino - Albinos and Normals
Het Hypo X Het Hypo - Hypo's and Normals
Het Hypo Anery X Het Hypo Anery - Hypos, Anery's, Ghosts, Normals


Rainbow Boas
Vela X Vulpecula - Normals (parents are unknown)


Corn Snakes

1. Snowie (Snow het Hypo) X Flame (Hypo het Anery A, Charcoal)
   1. Hypos, Anery A's, Ghosts, Normals (All het Amel poss Charcoal)
2. Satan (Anery Bloodred) X Spirit (Bloodred unknown hets)

I think that is everything, and if I have any more additions, I will update this. As I get hook-up pictures, I will post them in this thread. I am looking forward to a number of these pairings this year. hoping to get some Butter Stripes, Bloodreds, Hypo Lavs and Hypo lav Mots, and a few other things needed to complete projects.

Well, Saturday I put all but one pair of corns together, and 4 out of 9 bred. They will all be fed tonight and then given the week to rest and put back together this coming weekend. hoping that the rest will be in the mood then.

Breedings;

Snow het Hypo X Hypo het Anery A and Charcoal
Hypo het Lav Mot X Het Hypo Lav Mot

Het Amel, anery A X Miami unknown hets

It was fun to see so many hook-up for you within a matter of 30 minutes or so.......great start to a great list of pairings. Good luck on the others coming up.

Well, first pairings are now done and the first 2 clutches of eggs are on the ground. The first clutches are from:

Stripe het Hypo Anery X Hypo Stripe het Anery
- 24 eggs laid last week of April
Bloodred (unknown hets) X Anery Bloodred (unknown hets)
- 6 good eggs, 1 unknown egg, and 3 slugs (one egg still retained in female)
- First breeding for both animals


Most of the rest of the females have either shed, or are in blue right now. Gravid-ness is now very visible in all females so I should have all clutches in the Incubator by the end of the month. I am really looking forward to this year and the possibilities in the Morph Variation I am expecting.

Checked the snakes this morning, and I have more eggs...20 to be exact.

Flame laid her eggs yesterday, 10 good looking eggs.
- She is a Hypo het Anery A and Charcoal and was crossed to a Snow het Hypo.
- This pairing was done the last 2 years and produced some very nice looking Super light Ghosts

And finally, the clutch I have been waiting for:
Het Hypo Lav Motley crossed to a Hypo het Lav Motley
- was in the middle of laying eggs this morning. Had 10 eggs already laid and a number of nice sized lumps inside.

So now in total, I have 50+ eggs in the incubator and I am expecting more. This should be my biggest year yet, and I am really looking forward to it.
