Display Tanks

Like a lot of folks with more than ... uh, ahem ... a lot of snakes, I have everyone in tubs in my snakeroom. I'm looking into getting a fancy-schmancy display unit later this year so I can put some of them on display in the main area of the house.

So far, I've found Cages by Design (www.cagesbydesign.com) and ZooMed (http://www.zoomed.com/html/euro_cage.php) making units similar to what I want. Does anyone know of other companies (preferably with websites) in the US that do these things?

A lot of these cages are made for bigger species, but many of them will make smaller ones.

I really like these, but I don't care for the company name being drilled as an air vent. http://herpcages.com/

I have a couple from Herpcages and they're nice, but they're white (the only color they have) and I don't care for the company name as the vent design either. Although I believe for a bit extra you can get whatever you want.

They're okay for the price though, definitely functional. Although they do require a spacer in order to stack them without one sliding off the other. It's a puzzle type affair that fits on the inside lip of the top and bottom, it also elevates it enough to allow an under-cabinet light to be used.

I also have a couple of the "2x4" cages from Reptile Basics. They make good quality stuff, but they think so too as they charge quite a bit. I also really wish they offered more cage sizes more befitting colubrids than boids.

Do any these suppliers ship to the UK? We're looking for more flexible options for our snakes, but the options here are both limited and expensive.

Thank you

(If UK or Europe is short on supply or high on cost.....why not start a company of your own in this field.......? Snake and reptile keeping is increasing in Europe too.)

Cheers

I make my own....and hope to make a few more one of these days to offer them for sale. I'm also experimenting with high quality wood for some real nice cages.

WOW Jeff, to you travel & Build? LOL! Those are nice

Actually... *eventually* I plan to buy (cause I do like display cages for adults) several of the Boaphile 221D 5 cage stack packs. Not a bad deal when you think about it, plus w/ the heating etc.

Not yet....BUT....I'm working on making a few models that are predrilled and all you have to do is set them up. I'm also working on a few types that still fit in the shipping restrictions of FedEx and UPS.
