D50 Nikon with the cheap stock 18mm to 55mm lens.. Works better than my photography skills..

I use a Canon EOS 400D. Mostly with a Tamron AF70-300mm F/4-5.6 LD MACRO 1:2, which I have also used to the pictures below.

Every part of the world has it's own series of models of the more familiar brands like Canon, Nikon etc, but i suppose there are also some rather unknown company's who have great products..
I use a Canon EOS 400D DSLR camera, 10,1 megapixel and i use the standard 18-55 kitlens and a 50-200 Canon lens. Together with some macro-extension tubes i can make rather good pics i think

I have always shot with Canon, I professionally photograph livestock, mainly alpacas and llamas but just started photographing corns. I use a Canon 20D Digital SLR. I have a Tamron 90 macro as well as a handful of other lenses. Just about one for every situation. I also have studio lights and such and I think it'll be fun to start experimenting with corn snake photography more.

I am finally considering getting another lens.. Nikor has a Micro lens for around $450 dollars.. However I can't compete with you mega pixel monsters..

Micros/macros are nice, keep in mind they have a very shallow depth of field. Which means that anything that is not on the focusing plane will not be in focus at a 1:1 ratio, which is actual size. To give an example, if you are photographing your snakes head, and his nose and eye are not the same distance from you, the nose or the eye will be in focus, depending on where you focus but the other will not be in focus. It can make for some neat artsy photos but if you want a total image focus, a true 1:1 macro at 1:1 won't give it.

I had the Canon S3IS, I now have the S5IS w/ HD filters which you can get thru Amazon really cheap. 58mm w/filter adapter the S5 is 8meg.

Sony Mavica here. This is a great camera for those that do not have any film camera background...which is not me but I still like it better than anything I have shot so far. You can get a really nice zoom with the macro setting and you can get one in the $300 range.

I use a Canon A720IS. It's very nice, but a little bit big. I need to get a better lense for Macro shots inside. The flash always causes a shadow wen taking pictures inside. It takes outside pictures very well. I also have an A530 for a travel camera, just so I dont get my better one messed up. It also takes decent pictures.
