jbidwatcher is a good free sniping program.

To add to what has been said about ebay always do your research first. I have seen people spend more or pretty close to what an item costs from "normal stores" or other on line sellers at ebay. That never made sense to me. Make sure the seller has a good reputation as a seller and has a return and delivery policy that you are comfortable with.

The other thing to ask about is whether the item has been in a smoke free environment. We never thought about this until Paul got a great deal on a camera bag. It arrived exactly as described but reeked of smoke. If you are not a smoker the smell is very unpleasant and extremely hard to get rid of!

Here you go. I believe the person who posted it had purchased from them before and had been happy with them.
Thank you.
Hmmmmm...
They have a refurbished S3 IS for $249.

Well if you're thinking about spending more, then I'll put in my two cents about the Canons. I don't care for them, actually. I find them heavy and awkward. Maybe it's just because I have small hands. After trying out a Canon S1, we got a SONY cybershot, 6MP, and we love it. Just my two cents.

Hmm. I had really only thought of it in the Honda Element commercial kind of way. Perhaps I'd better change that . . .

It had me picturing a little old lady chasing down children, but that's just silly. We all know you're a young boy.

That's because the S1 was lousy... the S2 they made all the improvements I would imagine the S3 is even better... I'll wait for the next one and hang on to my S2 for now of course, it takes mighty fine photos

Here's the one I use. Takes great pics and is definately user friendly.

I used Canon exclusively in the days of SLR and loved the product. Got a good deal on a Nikon Coolpix when I switched to digital and love it too. I'd personally go with one of these two manufacturers.
