Waterbowls

What do you use. I don't want to buy 6 ceramic bowls. I found some nice cheap cups. Portion cups that is, at 3.5 oz, they are perfect. Where can I buy some, for cheap, not 75 bucks for 8 billion of them. What do you use? And where can I find them?

Thanks!

I know this was pretty popular a while back........Combo Thread, and I am almost positive you have an IKEA in Houston. I use plastic water dishes from the feed store that run like $1.00 - $1.50 each. They are pretty thick and well made.......I think they may be used for hamsters or something but they are with all the other pet dishes at Tractor Supply. I have used both the plastic and porcelain (a tad higher) kinds and they work well.

You can get small dishes of every size that work great for water dishes at the dollar store - small ceramic ones are often 8/$1.

Another option is to use the small plastic containers that yogurt or applesauce individual servings come in - there are 8 in a pack, you eat the fruit, wash the dishes and they work great for hatchling water cups - if you only need a small number.

I go to Petco and head straight for the small animal section. They have these great little plastic water dishes in three or four sizes that are mostly hollow underneath with two half-moon cut outs so the snakes can get under them. Its a two-fer, water bowl and hide in one. The smallest is perfect for hatchlings and they're .99 cents. Sometimes they're on sale for $.89 or something. I buy Petco out every time I go in right before hatchling season.

I was just in Dollar General today and saw these cute little 3oz. containers for 10 for a $1. They would have been perfect water dishes for hatchlings. Then you can use the lids for a tray to feed f/t on.

I buy small dishes at the Canadian Wholesale Club. They are meant for ketchup and stuff at restaurants (the small side dishes of condiments), but work great for my hatchlings. They are nice and small and the perfect size for a hatchling corn.

For hatchlings I use applesauce small containers and square little containers which are 8 / 1$ at the dollars store. For the yearlings I use 4.5 delicups and for the corns big enough to spill their water bowl, I use dog water bowl in plastic or metal at the dollars store.

I find lots of things at the dollar store & also save my tubs from microwave meals, apple sauce & baby food that I occasionally buy for the lizards.

From the dollar store I've gotten actual dog dishes, a big pack of little square storage tubs that are great for hatchlings, 4 packs of little glass bowls that you use to put pre-measure goods in when cooking & other multi-packs of plastic dishes.

I also have gotten melamine ash trays which make great hides for tiny-tinies.
