Yeah, they were passing out free bags to all the vendors at Daytona. I'll use it this year and let you know. I'm thinking of setting up several test...vermiculite, perlite, sphagnum and this stuff...just for the heck of it to see if there is any difference. Plus, I'd like to settle on one to use myself.
I picked up a sample in Arlington. I'm planning to save it for while I'm on vacation. The geckos keep laying all summer. This way, if I don't have enough egg boxes ready, my gecko-sitters can easily set up more without having to worry about getting moisture levels right!
I used it to hatch out 14 clutches. I followed the directions. It worked perfectly. I never had to worry about humidity at all. I did put a bit of fluffy green moss over the eggs and a piece of paper towel on top that to make sure that no water drips from condensation on the lid fell directly on the eggs. Occasionally I would wipe the condensation off. That's about it. I had no DIE (dead in egg) and several of the "iffy" eggs hatched out fine. I'll definitely use it again next year.
sounds like it is fool proof what is the cost of a big bag in Canada it will be insane i would imagine. Just think no hassle no mess mixing hell i will give it a try if it is affordable?

Or.........just buy the bag being sold on the market that is already "prepared" for the use of hatching corn snake eggs.
I would imagine diaper contents are treated with chemicals to contain/hold/deodorize the urine it will be receiving. Unless somebody would be using "that" for the moisture medium.......I would refrain from attempting such a task.

Reason: buy....not by
This stuff is prefect! I know several breeders who use it, and they give it 110% credit!
Deffanatly perfect for begginers! They give it out at major shows, like DAYTONA and NARBC shows! Good luck.
