Land of REAL Mooses *tm* lol

Photo was taken wayyyyy in the far corner of our property at max telephoto. (sorry for the poor photo quality) I was so excited to see this young Moose!!! We see at least one every June / early July, this year we also saw one several times in October.

They are quiet, graceful giants. It warms my heart to see deer or moose browsing on our land.

2nd photo is our pup. She's a sweetie & loves the snow!! It's been so warm here we're laying bets when the first snow will be... Nov, Dec.... lol. Last year we had outdoor BBQ's right into December. With a jacket of course.... but for a BBQ'd steak I'd brave cold weather!!

lol it almost looks like she's "looking" for that snow she loves. "It'll be here... any day now... Oo that cloud looks promising!"

That is a beautiful Dog. Love the color and the look on his face makes him seem like royalty.

Snow? I miss it more than anything. Have been living in TX for the last 14 years...before I lived in NY...about 20 to 30 miles sound of the boarder right on Lake Champlain. Lived there for about 12 years, and really miss the cold weather and snow. Also had some Moose up there...saw 2 r 3 of them one evening while driving home. They sure are a sight to see.

Thanks for sharing the pictures.

Thanks for the photo. I LOVE moose. I am building a cabin in the Sierra Nevada which is entirely moose themed. Your property looks wonderful, how large is it? I've been following your snowstorm(s) in the shout box, hope you're staying warm! Thanks for sharing. I have clicked on this photo often enough now that I thought I should actually say something. so, Thanks!

Thanks for the great comments Good luck on your cabin!!

We have 3.5 acres adjoining a large forest (over 100+ acres) of mixed white birch, grey birch, quaking aspen, hemlock, white pine, and (a few) mature oak (good deer & turkey food) We have wild raspberry's growing in profusion along the property line in several places & started some blueberries last year.

I included a few sunrise photos below enjoy. They were taken from my driveway, lol... good view to wake up to!! (the last photo was taken on a different day)

Here's a sunrise over snow photo and 2 of my pup this past snowfall. The one by the house came out a bit dark, but you can see the snow is up to her shoulders!! She absolutely loves to jump through the snow She's convinced she'll find a mouse every time she pokes her nose into it, lol.
