Pre-Tinley Pictures...

All day today I worked hard in cleaning ALL animal enclosures. Tommorow I do the birds and rodents. And then it's on our way to Tinley! So tonight I got a wee bit bored and pulled out my camera and found a few willing victims...mwa ha ha ha ha...

First up, is my male Charleston Bloodred cross. In the last year this guy and his sister have turned more and more red! So it's a normal corn with a serious red thing going on! Enjoy!

Next up, is my male Frosted Snow corn. He's going to be three next summer. And thinking this winter he's going to be hibernated as he's plenty big enough to breed a female. Though I'm not sure who I'm putting him to. I have a couple options... This guy is the third snow in a line of snows that I've had since I've been keeping snakes. Bought his grandmother back in 97. In 2000 she had a clutch with some snows. And I selected a female. And now that snake is still alive and well today. And a few years back I had borrowed a pastel anery from a friend and kept back a pair of the resulting babies. This snow male and a ghost female. And this guy got some pink to him plus a real frosted look. He's got a brother that looks just like a coral! Anyhow, here are his pics.

Oh, lets see now... Ah yes, here's some of my Hypo Okeetee female. She's a daughter of my MJ. You know, I had a bad year last year hatching out any good Hypo Okeetees from MJ. This year nothing was exciting.... But anyways, last year we did a reptile show here in the little town of Carrington. This year I just simply knew better with gas prices, and people moving away or having things going on... It just wasn't going to be! But anyhow! Last year a fellow ND snake keeper came to the show with a pair of these Hypo Okeetees he had bought from me a few years back and now had them up for sale! I went over to his table after he told me he had them with him. Took out the female, held her up close to my face and checked out her head pattern...

*WHACK*

Faster than I could respond, she had pulled her head around, back into an S shape, and nailed me! Right in the forehead just between and above my eyes! Oh what a thing to have happen! I'm about to open the show to the public and to have that happen! Well, my worst fears were not realized as she hadn't left a mark at all. But it sure made for a good laugh! Well anyhow, she was just reacting out of fear is all. She's not really a nasty tempered thing at all. She's turned out to be very pretty and boy am I glad to have this pair back in my hands! She could breed next spring, but right now it's like...to what? So we'll see. I LOVE the spear point pattern on this girl's head.

You like yellow? then you'll like this set of pictures! This is my male Butter Motley. I totally love this guy! Got that bright eye catchy yellow going on. And I like the nice Motley pattern he's got. I'm HOPING that next year his girl won't throw another batch of slugs! Gah! Oh well! He was produced by Joe Pierce.

Today my wife comes home from work and is standing over me as I'm on the puter...and I notice something...waving slowly just off the side of her head. A teeny tiny speck...so I put up my hand...and pull the teeny tiny thing by the thread it's attatched to off my wife's head...and let it wave around toward the front to where my wife could see this teeny tiny thing and

*gasp!**shuddernshake* *run for the hills*

oh the things we can be SO scared of... it's so tiny! But...tis still a spider, a scary thing to a mind that's so set to be scared of spiders... poor wife...
