Spring has Sprung!

The past two weeks here in Southern Indiana have been absolutely gorgeous! Temperatures in the 70's, sunny, a few thunderstorms...but tomorrow that all ends. A storm front is preparing to wallop us with severe storms and a cold front that is supposed to bring frosts and freezes for a few days. Ah well, most things should weather it well.

Pink Dogwood Tree

Redbud Tree (crappy pic taken across the yard)

Wild Violets

Bradford Pear Tree

Pansies

Morels, mmmmmm

I was thinking the same thing this evening. I walked home from class and was noticing all the tulips and trees that were blooming. Plus, every lawn is bright green.
I'm jealous of those morels. They sure look tasty. I haven't had a chance to get away from campus to look for any...don't know if I will get a chance this year. Congrats on your finds

The only thing green up here so far is some of the grass; that and there's snow and highs of 20 in the forecast this week.

But new growth is started on the branches, leaves arnt here yet but with all this rain we've had just give it a few warm sunny says and they will come in no time.

Spring's here too! I just finished mowing the lawn for the first time. All the blooms are blooming, and all the flowers are flowering!

I've mowed 3 times so far.

Once you mow it that first time, for a month or two its all you can do to keep up with it. I swear after the first time I mowed, the next evening you couldn't hardly tell I mowed in some places.

Not me...but I wish I did!

Beautiful pictures! We have snow forecasted for the next week. At least I'll be able to look at these pics and know that...someday...we too will have some green, white, purple and pink...white is so boring!

I just love pansies...a true sign of spring.
