Well, yeah, but what did turn out with that stripe/mot? Was it a butter?

No clue. I've still got it. I'll try to take a picture in the next couple of days and post it. It still looks funky compared to other Amel Mots I've hatched out from the same father.

I will admit I altered the images a bit. For some reason my camera makes this snake look far more orange than he really is in real life. I don't know if its a setting with this particular camera, or what. I'll play around with the settings and see if I need to change something. I may try my older camera and see if that helps.

But I have changed to what he most looks like to my eyes in person, so hopefully that doesn't detract from my initial assertion that I believe it's something besides a plain ol' Amel Motley.

He's really not as yellow as this makes him out to be, but the darker colors are more straw-like in color than the orange the camera wants to make it out to be.

Compared with a clutchmate that does resemble more an Amel Motley:

Unaltered photo from a few months ago, you can see the camera makes him out to be more orange.

The little striper one had a knot in its umbilicus as I noticed its back end getting dark and darker, so I snipped it and it came the rest of the way out of the shell. I've noticed most of these had only pipped the smallest hole possible for their bodies, and when they come out and rest they look pinched. Not sure why that is.
Hello Misty,

I love the little brown one... Good thing I live far away from you!

Congrats!
