Springtime in Indiana

I went for a walk this evening down our long drive and through the woods, and took a bunch of pictures you guys might enjoy. =)

Of course Cue LeDuck found the puddles in the road irresistible:

Well this afternoon was chilly, but at least it stopped raining. We went for a walk in the woods behind the house this time hoping to find more morels (only found four yellow ones). But we had the complete entourage this time: 1 dog, 1 duck, 3 cats.

The forest behind the house is a bit more lush in the amount of greenery and wildflowers, and a bit less populated with stinging nettles. Despite the lower nettle density I still managed to light my feet and legs on fire with a well placed mis-step after trying to avoid stepping on a startled duck and tripping over a dog.

But I took a few more spring pictures for my family out in Montana (its still just barely maybe thinking it might start spring up there) so I thought I'd share them here with you guys. =)

And of course, what trip wouldn't be complete without pics of the exploits of Cue LeDuck and his subsequent after trip nap:

Wow! Thanks for posting all the wonderful springy pics, Misty! We're like Montana, some trees are still bare, and others have just barely started. Only a few are totally green. And the duck... wow, the duck is SO CUTE! I take it he's a pet? I can totally see you having a pet duck. That's just awesome.

Great pics Misty........kind of envious of your little "spread" you reside on, nice greenery.

I couldn't resist a post. Beautiful pictures! We don't know each other, but I was wondering if maybe you would let me come live with you?

Thanks for the comments guys. And LOL @ Patnpat, maybe, do you like to clean house?

Well Cue LeDuck is growing up, quickly. I swear every day I get him out he's even bigger than when I put him to bed.

This is Cue the day he hatched out, April 22nd:

This is him last night (15 days old) in the same hand:

Today he was being a total ham in the kitchen while I was getting DH's lunchbox together for work.

He's learned catfood is good stuff, and he's gotten to the point of challenging our living vacuum Storm the cat for her food bowl. =P
