I love this girl and intend to get a few more for breeding. She is a little more jittery than my corns, but she's never bitten or musked. It takes her a few minutes to warm up to the idea of being handled, but then she settles down and is so much fun to look at. She's het for silver (anery) and as a "pattern over colour" person, I'm thinking about introducing her to a ghost corn next year to test if her anery is compatible with corn anery and to make some killer hybrids. Love that wavy pattern!

That's awesome Kathy, I have always liked that species and was not aware that anybody other than Chuck had any on this site. You sure do have a sweet looker......thanks for posting. Keep us updated on this project.

Wow, she is a beautiful snake. I cannot recall ever seeing one of these before - online or in person. Would love to see more shots of her and will look forward to hearing how future breedings go!

Thanks for the compliments, guys! I wa surprised when I learned Chuck has a pair. I thought I'd never see more of them. She is an '03 who had a bit of a fussy start (not wanting to go up in prey size) and didn't really start growing in earnest until this year. She's on small adult mice and is a chow hound! The species is quite slender naturally but I want to get her bulked up for next year's breeding.

Yeah, if I remember correctly I believe he has 1.1 and either one or both may be anery. I didn't think about searching before this post, but I believe he has them posted on here somewhere. Next to the Mandarins and the Thai Bamboos, the Mexican Night is next on my wanted list. I still see them come up now and then in some forum ads, but they are still a bit pricey if you get some good quality ones.
If I have not done anything by then, maybe next year you could give your "good friend" from The Source a deal on 1.1.......

I got her from East Bay Vivarium. They list them as Honduran Ratsnakes (the other name I've heard for them). I think I paid $175, which at the time was the highest price I'd paid for any snake. I'm pretty sure both of Chuck's are silver. A silver male is on my list, but I'm still shying away from the price for now. Maybe I'll get another het silver. The Thai bamboo is on that list, too. The dream list.
