Very nice looking youngsters. Definitely looking forward to pics of these as they mature and the future generations.

And I've broken my own rule...again.

I always check the LLL Reptile site in hopes of finding Christmas corns, because that's where I got mine two years ago. I haven't seen them on there since. Until today! They literally just got them in. And to top it off, they have a special right now, $15 shipping. You betcha I was on top of that. I should have 0.2 on my doorstep tomorrow morning. I'm thinking their names will be Mistletoe and Imbolc (Ee-molc), both for the winter solstice. Although Imbolc is actually midwinter. Maybe Juniper or Rosemary, then, since those are evergreens and prominent in the Pagan yule ceremony. I don't know! I'm just so freaking excited to get more Christmas hypos!!

Here they are! I just about knocked the Fed Ex over I was so excited! The pics aren't great, but the snakes sure are! I got 1.1 and they've got that bright red/orange already on their heads and starting to creep down their necks. And they are so small, I forget how little hatchlings are. I'm still deciding on names. The female is first and the male is second. I can't wait for better lighting to get some good pics.

That is most definately a combo I want to try in the future, corns and bairds being my two favorite rat snake types.... I am very curious to see them as adults...

First two pics are the male and the rest are the female, including a crappy ventral shot. I am definitely going to make a few of my own next year. This combo is awesome!

Good luck with that cross. Maybe we can swap some down the road so there's fresh blood.
