Second Breeding of '08!

Tonight my Christmas male was all over my Okeetee girl, from Kathy Love. She's been out of bru for more than 8 weeks and still hasn't shed, unless she ate it. lol She was more than receptive to his advances anyway. That will be two het Christmas clutches this year and I'm hoping to see some brighter reds in the Okeetees.

Pairings yet to hook up...

Banded Miami mot X banded motley (these are the nicest banded snakes I've ever seen, the male came from Carol Huddleston and the female is het snow)

Anery stripe X normal stripe (darnit, I want a clutch of stripes this year and to prove some hets!!)

Maybe some hybrids, who knows...

She's in blue! I put in a lay box this afternoon. I'm just praying that she lays good eggs and proves that my Christmas male isn't to blame for the other slug soup being laid by my banded butter mot. If this girl gives me slugs, I may to use a different male to double clutch her.

She did it!!

10 good eggs and one that looks ok, I hope it makes it. There were 7 slugs. This proves, hopefully, that my Christmas male wasn't to blame for the slug soup that came from my butter mot. Let's keep our fingers crossed for really red Okeetees that are all het Christmas!
