Merry meet!

I hope you plan on sharing some of your awesome photography, not just snake related stuff in here. I miss looking through your website, the photography, the jewelry...

I want to join!

I was born and raised a Pagan, in the mountains of Marion County, Tennessee. I was trained as a priest of Wicca back in my twenties. Presently, I'm a Spiral Scouts Co-Leader here in California. In my snake room is a very lovely bust of Medusa, an early concept of the Snake Goddess/Great Mother (cf. http://www.perseus.tufts.edu/classes/finALp.html).

I don't breed my snakes, though I do adore them...and I teach my 2nd grade students to appreciate them, too, especially for their role in our environment. I haven't really ever followed any particular religion; I was baptized & confirmed, but I didn't have any say in either matter (well, fear was a driving force in the confirmation...I actually did what I could to prevent it, and the minister understood my qualms about it...). I declared myself agnostic the very next day. I just try to live life in the best way that I can, I guess.

And, I chose to be Medusa for Halloween when I was in 2nd grade; she was my hero. I had really long hair that my mother braided & fashioned into snakes...Greek mythology were my bedtime stories.

Many good wishes for happy & healthy breeding for all!

Thank you for the background history on the name, I've always liked it. I have always had a love and fascination of snakes, and while baptized and confirmed, I soon learned the folly of my ways when I was put into catholic school lol. Looking forward to some great pics!

Far from being a Pagan............but am gladly anticipating those awesome pics. Congrats on your new "personal" forum and well wishes on the upcoming breeding season.

In a more serious vein, where else would you find a goddess (a_god_s) but in a temple.

Count me in and may all your hatching be great eaters!
