A Few New Faces...

A trip to Stephen's yesterday to drop off several dozen mice and snap some pictures ended with us coming home with a trio of extra critters. It is unbelieveable how easily he can talk us into leaving with snakes we had no intention of getting. Not that I am complaining, as every snake we have gotten from him has been exceptional in color, attitude, and appetite. ALthough, now that I think about it, at least 1/4 of our collection has been produced by Stephen or has come to us through him. Hmm... I'd say he's corrupted us, but we were way far gone before we met him! lol...

All three of the newbies fit into existing projects that we are working on though, which makes them more then worthwhile additions. (They'd make awsome pets on thier own, but their future contribution as breeders makes them even better.)

Ok, enough blathering from me, here are the new additions:

2005 Male Blood, one of a pair of siblings from the Mystery Project by Rich Humes, newly dubbed Carnelian -

2005 Female Blood, sibling to the male above, named Silt -

And a 2006 Amel het bloodred, named Selenite -

We're definately looking forward to seeing all three grow and have hopes of seeing thier future offspring.

Jenn

Working with the actual morphs can be fun, but it's ten times more fun working with quad and quint hets because you never know what you're going to get in the clutch so it's like Christmas each time they eggs pip! lol

I actually have not made it out of his house without buying something why else would I go up there other than to have something in mind. Now... have I walked out of there with something that I did not intend to buy... no... i think.

I think there have only been two times that we actual went over there with the intent to buy snakes from him. This time we were going to pick up Jasper (our sunkissed) and to drop off a bunch of mice and rats. I was also taking pictures for him. We'd not planned to come home with extra snakes, but we knew that Stephen was going to try to talk us into getting them. He'd been working on Tim for well over two weeks about these same critters, so our walls were already riddled with cracks.

If they didn't already fit in with our future plans I think we'd have been able to pass up the opportunity. At least we don't live any closer then we do right now. Cause we'd be in real trouble then! lol

Awesome new pick-ups! Maybe it's a good thing I live in Northern California. I'd be even worse if I could visit and didn't have to pay shipping.
