Two new challenges - E. moellendorffi and Goniurosaurus Lichtenfelderi Hainanensis
100 flower ratsnake, red-headed ratsnake, and who knows what else theyre called. E. (O.) moellendorfi are pretty rare still, mainly only wild caughts being available and with a low survival rate. They are native to south east China and north Vietnam. Very little is known about them, they are thought toi be forest and even cave dwelling. Theyre a low light, cool them, and higher humidity needing species, a lot like mandarins; only they can get up to 8 feet long.
These snakes are breathtaking to see in real life. This pair has been in captivity for about a month; the male doesnt look too bad, the female has an old nose rub; overall they look as good as fresh caught imports do. I'm really hoping these guys do well, we really need more captive breeding because they are so pretty.

Asian Rats still don't get the notoriety and publicity that I think they deserve. To me, they are some of the finest looking snakes out there. Some of the colorations and patterns they display are amazing. I am sure it's due to the hassle's in keeping them due to their required husbandry and the fact that they are still a pretty penny to own........but they are some awesome looking snakes.
Good luck to you in getting that (those) projects going, you certainly have started out with some stunner's.

Also an uncommon species, mainly imported but I believe its gotten pretty strict to bring these guys in. They have a lot of common names - Chinese cave geckos, Chinese banded geckos, Chinese banded cave geckos, Chinese leopard geckos, and so on. These guys also like it cool and moist, and are imports.
Female #1 - Kokba'el
(Ignore my sliced up hand)
Female #2 - Neqa'el
Female #3 - Tuma'el
And the male - Baraqel

Wild caught specimians usually arnt too expensive, but its a big risk getting them. The avaliability is just so low for some of these species here, whats available in europe is pretty amazing, species and morphs we dont even know exist much less see for sale here.
